Route directions
Who it’s for: Expert. Fit riders with reliable handling on long, rough mountain tracks.
This gives you the Vodolaza finish with a longer approach through the hamlets and forest. Staying lower than the Semkovo circuit can make it a useful option earlier or later in the season, provided snow has cleared.
Ride: take the Treshtenik road, then turn left towards Manovi Kolibi at 11.5 km. Keep with the main road right at 12.3 km, near the last fountain. Climb towards Toritsa, turn left around 17.2 km and left again near 21.4 km. Enter Vodolaza left at 23.6 km, cross the road at 24.6 km and approach the railway around 25.5 km. Use the designated crossing for the return to the market.
Refill at Manovi Kolibi and carry food for half a day. Dry roads can be dusty and eroded; the technical finish asks for concentration after the climbing. Choose parking away from the market on Saturdays.
