## [Getting here & around](https://semkovo.org/getting-here/)

Driving via Belitsa, airport arrivals and the final transfer uphill.

## [Stay at Coliving](https://semkovo.org/stay/)

Apartment bookings and the practicalities of your mountain base.

## [Choose an itinerary](https://semkovo.org/itineraries/)

A weekend, a week or a working month in Semkovo.

## [Practical essentials](https://semkovo.org/essentials/)

Supplies, costs, mountain safety and useful contacts.

## How long to stay

**Two or three nights** buys a taste: a viewpoint, perhaps a lake walk, and the bear sanctuary. **Five to seven nights** gives the weather room to change its mind and leaves time for mineral pools and village food. **Two to four weeks** suits remote workers who want quiet, company close at hand and a mountain beyond the desk.

For a first working visit, a shorter initial booking lets you settle into the place before committing to a month. Get the work setup, food and transport right and the leisure part is easy to fill.

## Choose the season for the trip you want

Walkers on the forest track on a Macedonia Hut outing.

| Period | Best reasons to come | Plan around |
| --- | --- | --- |
| December–March | Snowy forest, cosy evenings and local skiing | Snow clearance, operating lifts and winter mountain conditions |
| April–May | Valley villages, museums, pools and lower walks | Snow lingering on the lake approaches |
| June | Long days, green valleys and Bansko's nomad gathering | Remaining high snow and wet ground |
| July–August | The widest choice of lake walks and outdoor outings | Afternoon storms, strong sun and busy group periods |
| September–early October | Walking, quieter paths and clear autumn days | Shorter daylight, cold nights and possible early snow |
| Late October–November | A quiet retreat, good lunches and valley excursions | Fewer services and the change from autumn to winter |

Above the trees, the day's mountain forecast matters more than the month on the calendar. Check conditions before a long walk and leave enough daylight for an unhurried return.
